Medea has been singing on stage for more than half her life. Initially her focus was country music, a natural fit considering her Nashville roots. Medea was raised in Nashville, TN and in Texas.
At a young age she had begun to unlock what has become a truly unique sound. Soulful and powerful, her vocal strengths are realized in a diverse musical terrain. With her style, based on country and root-blues, she draws liberally from jazz, classical and rock.
Medea is a founder of Outlaw Jane and has a wild and loyal fan base that continues to grow. Her performances range from sweet to sweaty while her voice carries a message that anyone can groove too.
She has performed and/or recorded with Shelley Carroll (Duke Ellington Orchestra), Jeffrey Barnes (Brave Combo), Groove Academy, Bricks in the Wall, and Definitely Maybe, and is relied upon by several popular local bands as a sub for their lead vocalists.
Gary is a native Texan, originally from Beaumont. Gary initially started playing piano at a very early age and stuck with it through high school and college. In college, he studied woodwinds at the University of North Texas. While there and well before, Gary played in several bands, rock and jazz included.
Gary is a founder of Outlaw Jane and a versatile player, equally comfortable at the bass, piano, sax or flute - sometimes all at the same time!
Like the others in the band, Gary appreciates all styles of play and enjoys playing it all. Gary says, "..it's all good, as long as we and our audiences are having a good time".
Mollie, a native Texan, has been playing piano her entire life. It has taken her from accompanying choirs, orchestras, and individual instruments in high school to playing at weddings and other events through college. She has been a part of the DFW music scene by filling in for various bands with keys and vocals, and performing sets at Music City Mall in Lewisville.
Besides piano and voice, she also plays the flute, guitar, harmonica, and the banjo! There isn’t an instrument that she isn’t willing to learn. All enjoy watching her switch things up on stage with Outlaw Jane, from one instrument to the next! Mollie is a passionate performer.
The latest project she has been working on is recording an EP of her original songs. Her influences are Carol King, Billy Joel, Alicia Keys and Elton John. She has always been inspired by piano/singer songwriters, and it shows in her music. Mollie appreciates all genres though, and is excited to be a part of Outlaw Jane.
Born in California, raised in New Hampshire, at a young age Chris took drum lessons and followed his passion to play in a Rock Band while learning to play guitar on the side. After High School Chris transitioned over to guitar as his primary instrument. He relocated to the great State of Texas to attend college, and played in cover bands sharpening his skills and learning new techniques.
After earning an Engineering degree Chris was married and started a family. With his primary focus on being a good husband and father, his passion for music became a hobby which he shared enthusiastically with his children.
Over the years Chris experimented making music with multi-track tape decks, fueling his passion for songwriting and recording. After being volunteered by his wife to play the "electric" guitar in the Church Praise and Worship band Chris began to “Jam for Jesus”.
Over the years it still continues to fill his heart with endless musical inspiration. He continues to write and record and is currently finishing up a five song EP.
With his kids now grown and out on their own Chris recently joined the Outlaw Jane band. He is enthusiastic about the music selection and grateful for the opportunity to make new friends and work with others who share a common passion for music.
Craig is a DFW man through and through, having been born in Dallas, raised on the west side of Ft. Worth, and settling back in the north Dallas area to raise a family. A true lover of music, and inspired as a child by seeing Ron Tutt play with Elvis, Craig started playing drums at a very young age and joined his first band at just 14. A rock lover at heart, Craig was inspired early on by John Bonham, Stewart Copeland, Steve Smith, Alex Van Halen, and later by Danny Carey.
Craig’s taste in music expands far beyond rock music and with Outlaw Jane he can fulfill these other styles. Whether it's blues, R&B, soul, country, or a rocking variation of these, Craig adapts and slides in quite comfortably. He is certainly excited to be here as an uncontrollable chain of events had forced Craig to step away from playing music for many years.
Craig is always ready to jam and share his passion for all to enjoy. Why? Because it just feels so good. As the great Bob Marley once sang, "One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain".
